International Internships announced every year for student from all over the world. Most of the internships application period starts from January and the student spends thier summer (May – September) in respective countries, depend upon the duration.

1. OIST Japan

Through its Research Intern program, the OIST Graduate School offers education and research opportunities in STEM disciplines. Typically, an internship lasts between 2 and 6 months. These short-term placements provide students with the opportunity to acquire laboratory experience or to learn a specific technique. Interns will labor under the supervision of a Professor and contribute to OIST’s research endeavors.

Support:

OIST will support successful applicants by providing the following perks.

Internship Allowance of JPY 2,400 per day (non-taxable and excluding vacations). 

Transportation benefits by using OIST Shuttle Bus Pass

Travel Expenses: One direct round-trip air ticket (travel date will be as near to the duration of the placement as possible).

Accommodation: furnished off-campus or on-campus housing

Eligibility:

Outstanding students in their final two years of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at universities, colleges, junior colleges, and vocational schools in Japan or abroad, as well as their graduates, can apply for the OIST Research Internship Program. Students must have approval from their parent institution to study abroad. The academic background of applicants must be suitable for their intended OIST host unit(s).

2. Global Intern Program GIST Korea

The Global Intern Program (GIP) provides an excellent opportunity to gain research experience at GIST by joining a research lab for eight weeks in the summer and receiving training and guidance from the lab’s professor. You will be able to determine if pursuing a graduate degree at GIST is the correct choice while gaining valuable research experience.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this Internship application you must be enrolled in an Undergraduate senior class (last 2 years) or a Master’s degree. Your CGPA should be above 3.0.

A certified degree or Transcripts with an Enrollment certificate is required

One letter of recommendation from your teacher

An English Proficiency Letter from your Institute or Official test (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.) is required

Application Period:

The application period is January to March for the coming summer every year.

3. International Internships Program by Taiwan TIGP

The Taiwan International Graduate Program announce every year in January for the International Internship program. The TIGP, in collaboration with top-tier local research universities, would like to invite outstanding young scholars from around the world to experience Taiwan’s world-class scientific research facilities and to participate in building an intellectual network of people of different ethnicities and cultures.

Eligible Students:

Students who are studying in their final year of a Bachelor of Science degree.

Students pursuing a Master’s degree who hold a Bachelor of Science.

4. CERN International Internships Program Switzerland

Physicists and engineers at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) investigate the fundamental structure of the universe by studying the particles colliding near the speed of light, using the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments.

Every year CERN announce International Internship Program for the students who are currently studying in their Bachelor and Master Degree.

Application period is in January every year and the Internship program placement will be in June-July.

Eligibility and Required Documents:

You are a Bachelor or Master student (not a PhD student) in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics and should have completed at least three years of full-time university studies by the European Summer.

A curriculum Vitae, Copy of your recent Transcript, two recommendations letter from your last supervisors / lecturers.

Benefits:

A contract of association ranging from 8 to 13 weeks* for technical project.

Students will also be able to attend a series of lectures on information technology organized by Open lab.

A daily subsistence allowance of 90 Swiss francs (net of taxes) to cover the cost of lodging and sustenance for a single individual in the Geneva area for the duration of the contract.

A lump-sum travel allowance paid at the conclusion of your stay to assist with travel expenses between Geneva and your residence.

Comprehensive coverage under CERN’s Health Insurance plan (contribution already deducted from salary). Accommodation assistance on the CERN campus or nearby.

5. Max Planck Summer International Internship Program Germany

The Summer Internship Program at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence offers highly motivated undergraduates the opportunity to work in one of the institute’s laboratories. The program will enable you to familiarize yourself with various scientific approaches and laboratory techniques. The objective of our fellowship program is to provide exceptional students with a variety of research experiences and skills to advance their careers early on.

Research Areas:

In addition to structural, computational, developmental, and cellular biology, research projects will be available in molecular biology, biophysics, and neurobiology. You may indicate a preference for up to three of our research organizations.

Eligible Conditions and required documents:

Bachelor students who are in their third or final year of degree or Master students.
